How to Apply

Letter of good standing

To be considered for any role with the World Scout Moot 2021, you must submit a Letter of Good Standing issued by your National Scout Organisation (NSO) with your application. Please see below for details on how to obtain this depending on your status.

International Applicants (non-UK)

  • Candidates should apply with an NSO letter of approval for the position. Please refer to the Download section below this text for a template that you can provide your NSO
  • You may apply for positions prior to receiving a letter of good standing. However, they will not be shortlisted and may have their application deemed void if the letter is not provided prior to interview shortlisting.
  • Candidates whose NSO declines to write a letter of good standing cannot be shortlisted for interview.

Scouting Ireland Applicants

  • Candidates should contact Scouting Ireland (no letter required) asking for verification.
  • You will then be issued a form consenting to internal reference checks to be completed. The form, once completed, should be sent to international@scouts.ie noting the role they wish to apply for within the Moot Team.
  • You may apply for positions prior to receiving a letter of good standing. However, they will not be shortlisted and may have their application deemed void if the letter is not provided prior to interview shortlisting.
  • Both you and the Volunteer support team will be made aware if they are successful or not in verification.
  • Candidates who are not verified cannot be shortlisted for interview.

UK Applicants

  • Uk applicants should apply without a letter of good standing.
  • If you are successful in being shortlisted for an interview, your application will be sent for verification by the volunteer support team to the relevant persons. Applications take approximately 2 weeks to verify. Please supply you Scouts UK Membership number.

  • Candidates who are not verified cannot be shortlisted for interview.
